This is one of the songs that I wrote about the feeling that I was losing everything that was important to me. At the time I didn't know what was going on, but I knew that I was losing my relationship bit by bit. At the same time, I felt like I was losing my identity as something other than Flapjack's mum. I really credit finding Tower of Song and all the amazing folks there with helping me find myself again, and also for being there for me when my relationship did finally implode in early 2016.
